The Rays Have Never Been More Popular Than Right Now

Who would have thought a sports city that signed Tom Brady would be most excited about its baseball team. Judging by the crowds the Rays got at Tropicana Field when fans were allowed in stadiums, I’m not sure there are many baseball fans in Tampa Bay to begin with. However, among baseball fans across America, there’s no better team to root for right now than the Tampa Bay Rays.

The Rays are coming off their first series win in over a decade, and it was against the “almighty” Yankees. Baseball fans across America rejoiced when Mike Brosseau hit the go-ahead home run off Aroldis Chapman in the 8th inning of game 5. No team in baseball, besides maybe the Astros, is more hated than the Yankees.

Which brings me to my next point: the Rays are now matched up with the Houston Cheaters Astros. Throughout the season, Baseball fans reveled in the Astros’ struggles. But they were disappointed to see the Astros make the playoffs.

With one series left before the World Series, fans are thinking they could be back fighting for a ring. But, have no fear, the Rays are here.

The Rays should take the series with ease considering they are miles better on the mound. I even took the Rays to win the series at -160 minutes after they beat the Yankees in the ALDS.

On top of the fact that the Rays are simply the more likeable team, Tampa Bay knows how to have fun.

After their game 5 win, Rays first baseman Ji-Man Choi trolled the Astros in the dugout.

Choi’s banging on the trash can like the Astros did to cheat their way to ring, all while playing “Empire State of Mind,” is the move of an experienced troll.

Rays outfielder Randy Arozarena broke out in the Divisional series, hitting for a ridiculous 1.371 OPS. After the series, he broke out the dance moves as well.

If you don’t smile while watching this video, I question if you even have a heart. There’s nothing better than seeing a grown man act like a little kid after beating the Yankees. Sorry not sorry Yankees fans.

This team knows how to have fun and it’s what baseball needs more of.

This is the first time a team’s fan base is rooting for the team that just knocked them out of the playoffs because fuck the Astros.

Tampa Bay, who has finished last in attendance in the A.L. for five consecutive years, will have millions of fans rooting for them virtually as they look to take out the Astros and advance to the World Series.
